Plateau was one of the first neighborhoods developed in Steiner Ranch, and therefore has many custom homes, making the section very eclectic. The neighborhood was developed between 1990 and 2005 by builders such as Wilshire Homes, Konrad Homes, Meridian Homes, and Morrison Homes. Homes in Plateau range in square footage from 1,550 all the way to 4,000. The neighborhood is surrounded on three sides by the greenbelt, so many homes have great views of it as well as access to the hiking trails. Homes in Plateau are priced in the $200s and $300s. Right next to Plateau neighborhood is the John Simpson Community Center, where residents can enjoy a pool, playground, and tennis courts.
